If there’s one American tire brand that has instant name recognition, it’s Firestone. Even though Firestone is part of the Bridgestone family now, their reputation is still one of the best – they’re a company that’s been around and been delivering top-quality tires for more than a century. The Firestone All Season carries on that legacy nicely; it’s a top-tier choice for sedans, minivans, coupes, and crossovers, with year-round traction and great value for drivers.
This is a tire that’s capable and competent at what it’s designed for – but is it the right tire for you and your vehicle? Let’s dive in and take a closer look in this Firestone All Season review.
Features and Benefits
The Firestone All Season is loaded with innovations and design features that make it a real standout:
- Silica-rich tread compound for year-round grip and long wear
- Twin steel belts with spiral-wound nylon cap layer for durability, high-speed stability
- Backed by a 65,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Deep sipes add hundreds of extra biting edges for traction in rain, snow, or slush
- Tread pitch is computer-tuned to keep road noise low
- Circumferential grooves direct water behind the tire’s contact patch to avoid hydroplaning
- Low rolling resistance design for better fuel efficiency
- M+S rated for mud/snow traction
- Deep 10/32” tread depth for a longer service life
Pros and Cons
When it comes to the Firestone All Season, we feel that the Pros outweigh the Cons:
PROS:
- Excellent ride quality and low noise
- Generous tread life warranty
- Wide range of sizes up to 20”
- Superb handling and braking on wet or dry pavement
CONS:
- Last-generation internal construction
- Not great in deeper snow
- No wear indicators other than wear bars in tread
SimpleTire’s view on Firestone All Season tires
Really, we don’t have many complaints when it comes to a tire like the Firestone All Season (even if it’s not real creatively-named). It’s affordable, it performs well even if the design is a little dated, it comes with good warranty coverage, and it’s just an overall great pick for a wide range of sedans, coupes, minivans and crossovers. The one thing you can always count on with any tires from Firestone is their build quality, warranty coverage, and dealer support, and the Firestone All Season certainly doesn’t disappoint on any of those counts. The Firestone All Season has a lot of competition when it comes to all-season tires, and it can certainly offer the kind of performance and value you’re looking for.
Vehicles the Firestone All Season is a good replacement tire for
The Firestone All Season is designed for year-round use on a variety of vehicles. If you drive a Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Malibu, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, Ford Escape, GMC Acadia, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Sonata, Mazda CX-4, Nissan Altima, Toyota Avalon, Volkswagen Jetta, or something similar, then this is a tire that you might want to consider.

Great all around tire. Handles good in rain and dry weather, I can't rate the winter traction as I haven't had them in the winter yet.

My wife loves these tires. Installed them on her Honda CR-V. She says they ride smooth and quiet, handle great and have great wet pavement traction. She is very happy.

These tire made such a huge difference on my wifes car in the winter that we decided to keep it. No more getting stuck and their even quiet on the highway. We will definitely be getting another set when these are worn out.
